How Many Graduates Are There?

Quite a few!  I personally know three, including my next door neighbor.  So, the graduation card parade continues.   I made this one when I was finishing up my minibook album for our Blog Hop earlier this week.  DCWV's Always and Forever stack has that regal type paper that is appropriate for such an occasion   Of course I had to add my favorite silhouette image to it because I'm me and I think they are so cute.

One More Down . . .

This is going to be a quick fly by post.  I was only able to finish one additional Thank You card for my son's teachers.  Sigh.  So I've just had to dig into my card drawer for the final one.  Here she is!

DCWV & Therm O Web Summer Lovin' Blog Hop

Welcome to the DCWV/Therm O Web Summer Lovin' Blog Hop. The designers have combined paper from DCWV's Sunday Afternoon and/or Everlasting Love stacks, together with a variety of adhesives, mists, and other fantastic products from Therm O Web.  And keep reading, because there are prizes involved!

If you have come here from Rebecca at My Cluttered Corner, then you are on track!  If not, you should go back to the DCWV blog and start today's leg of the hop from there.

So what did I come up with? Hmmm.  My mother lives in a different state, and because of her work schedule she does not get to visit often.  Several years ago when I got back into crafting one of my first projects was an 8 x 8 scrapbook of my boys for her.  It was so basic that when I look back it now it makes me laugh and smile.  I have certainly come a long way since then.  Time is not what it used to be and I don't have time to put together those massive books for her like I used to, but I do like her to have something to have with her grandkids as the focus.  So, with all that said, I have a cute little mini-album to share with you today.  I decided to use the Everlasting Love stack, which is a really gorgeous black and white stack with hints of champagne throughout.  A bit out of my comfort zone since I really do love working with color so much.  I added hints of green here and there, and went with black and white photos as well.

Here are photos of a few of the inside pages.

And finally, the minibook and it's cover.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today.  Be sure to visit all of the blogs on the Hop, and leave comments for your chance to win. Two lucky readers will win a set of 3 stacks from DCWV, and an additional reader will receive an amazing gift pack from Therm O Web!  The more you comment, the more chances you have to win!  Now head over to Jennifer's blog, Stitch Cut Create, to see what awesomeness she has in store for you.

Happy Graduation!

Our neighborhood was buzzing today with graduation parties.  Everywhere I went today it seemed I was running into graduates or parents of graduates, and everyone is in a festive mood.  With that in mind, I have the first of a couple of graduation cards I have prepared for friends this year.  This one features DCWV's Violet Leaf stack, and some glitter paper from one of their 4 x 6 stacks.  It's a very simple design, and I just adore the Silhouette graduate shape.  Too cute!

More Randomness . . .

A few more cards I made over the weekend playing around with some new stamps.  This first card features  a floral stamp from Stampin' Up using the emboss resist technique.  Those gorgeous hearts are new wood veneers from Studio Calico

I used a Simon's Says background stamp for the arrows, and a Provo Craft embossing folder.  The sentiment is from Cas-ual Friday Stamps.

Wish Big

Today I have a quick birthday card to share with you.  I used my Silhouette and DCWV's Delightful Stack to put this one together, and I have to say I really like it.  Very quick, and another birthday card to add to my stash.  You can never have enough!

You Remind Me . . .The Best Teacher in the World

I am getting a late start on my end of teacher thank you cards.  In reality I am only committing myself to three this year, so I should be able to crank this out before next Wednesday.  I finished the first one tonight and it was one of those mojo moments where I started playing around with some chevrons in the Silhouette Studio, and a short time later I had this completed.  Truly inspiration on the spot.  The beautiful teacher is a wonderfully colored image from my girl Kymberlee at The Paper Midwife.  I have very slowly been working my way through a big batch of colored images she sent me last year.  Lurve them!

The paper is My Mind's Eye Stella & Rose.  I really am down to like, my last five pieces of this paper.  What will I do when I run out?!  The stamp is from Verve and the pearls are by Doodlebug Designs.

XOXO

It's no secret that I adore my Silhouette Cameo.  I am constantly downloading files that I have every intention of turning into actual projects.  Like many of you, I now have more files than I probably know what to do with.  You know who you are!  So, every so often, I start pursuing my Silhouette files and come across one that shouts "ooh, ooh, ooh".  Today was one of those days.  I've owned this file forever, and I am finally glad I put it to use.  Layers, layers, layers.  Something else I love.

You see Kraft paper, an Ali Edward's Technique Tuesday stamp, a ProvoCraft embossing folder, and the best glitter paper out there made by DCWV.  Lots of fun with this card.  I think I should start pursuing my Silhouette files more often.

More Fiesta For You!

I can't get enough of this stack.  Seriously.  I had ever intention of doing some Non-DT work this weekend and somehow I ended up pulling out this stack and working with it anyway.  I really do adore it this much.  So here are a few more Fiesta Cards.  Remember, you can pick this DCWV stack up at JoAnns.

A Few More Challenge Cards

Long time no post.   I'm been busy outside round and about.  It's probably going to be this way as the summer picks up.  I took some time this weekend to play in my craft room and I came up with a few cards for two of my favorite challenges.  This week's Cas-ual Friday's challenge is a tic-tac-toe challenge to commemorate the blog's one hundredth challenge.  I went with the Kraft, Bling and Emboss line.  I used the emboss resist technique when I stamped and colored the flower on Kraft paper.  A few jewels added to the card to round it out..

The second card is for this week's Retro Sketches challenge.  I just pulled out the first 6 x 6 paper stack (from My Mind's Eye) I put my fingers on and worked my way from there.  If you haven't noticed I am in love with wood veneers.  Totally.  I can't help it.
