Just A Note Shaker Cards using Print & Cut

Once I got a little taste of the print and cut shaker cards I couldn't stop.  I found  a few other images in the Silhouette store that I thought would fit with this type of card.  This one is just a simple note card.  Love the way it turned out!

You Are Awesome Shaker Cards

I found this card on Pinterest and decided I wanted to scraplift it.  Except in my usual fashion, as much as I am drawn to clean and simple, I end up wanting more color on my cards and so, I used pattern paper instead of white paper to add a bit more interest.

And instead of stamping with another stamp that I loved upon site and did not own, I tried to recreate the look at must as possible using print and cut with the shapes in the Silhouette store.

Thank You Sun Shakers

Told you I wasn't done with this sun image.  I decided to make this into a thank you card, but only partially a shaker.  I can see myself moving back into that realm soon.

More Sunshine Shakers

I love, love, love the sunshine shaker cards  I made a few weeks ago.  I love the sun image so much that I wanted to use it in a few more cards.  This first one is purely  about the sun.  It's another shaker that takes up the whole card but the sun is prominently displayed.

You & Me Shaker

This is a shaker that I will likely use for my next anniversary.  Or maybe for some romantic evening before then.  It's based on this card that I found on Pinterest.  I have owned this infinity symbol for a while and I am thrilled to finally have a use for it.

Take What You Need Shakers

My sister asked me to make her some additional Take What You Need cards.  Interestingly enough, I had already started some for her.  They are, of course, shakers.

Christmas Bell Shakers

I have been wanting to make another set of shakers that use the mini bells I bought.  The last set had bigger bells so I had to make a pretty good size shaker area in terms of depth so you could actually hear the bells.  And then I discovered smaller ones at the store!  The results are these look more like my typical shakers.  Love the way they turned out.

Followed by a . . . Thank You Shaker

I love the tag shakers I made for Halloween.  I've used that image several times on cards and on scrapbook pages.  Clearly I haven't gotten enough of it.  I made some small Thank You shakers one afternoon featuring the DCWV Violet Leaf stack.  These papers are really gorgeous for scrapbook pages and for cards.

And Finally . . . Not a Shaker

I'll get back to posting some additional shakers real soon.  Like tomorrow probably.  In the meantime I want to share a card I recently made after seeing this card on Pinterest.  I love Papertrey Ink and so many of their products.  I just can't afford to buy them all, so I find myself trying to recreate the same effects using print and cut with my Cameo.

At first I went with all of the white space.  I love to look at clean and simple cards, but have a hard time loving the ones I make for some reason.

It just felt too plain to me so I decided to add some patterned paper.  The paper you see is actually a digital pattern that I purchased from the Silhouette store.  It worked perfectly for this card.  A few layers of butterflies and I was done.  This one, this is the one that I love.  I made these into Thank You cards because that is what my sister requested.  She has made her way through her stash.  But really, you could add any sentiment and it would be just as beautiful.

Hello Sunshine!

Yes, the shakers continue.  I've been meaning to make one out of one of the many sun images that I own but it took me a while to figure out the particulars - like how I wanted it to open and whether I wanted to mat it on a more traditional card base.  I decided to go with a shaped card that flips open on the back.  I also had to cut the frames a bit differently as I did not want so much space between the layers. The end result is a pretty hefty card, but I love it so much.  Is there any better color combination that yellow and orange?  Of course not!  I only made a few of these as they took a great deal longer than regular shakers.  I think it was worth it.

So Happy It Is Fall

Fall is my absolute favorite season of the year.  Not only is it gorgeous outside but its pleasant.  Not too hot, not too cold.   Sweater weather.  Sigh.  It's cooler here in Georgia but we're not quite to the sweater stage yet.  Once we are, my season will be complete.

These are fall shaker cards that I made for our card swap group.  I got ambitious and chose a file from the silhouette store that had lots of parts and pieces.  After the day it took me to cut it all out I realized why it is that I rarely make these kind of cards.  That said, I plowed on through.  I think they are pretty cute.
