A Wedding Gift

Another home decor item featuring glass etching.  This one is for a family member's granddaughter who just got hitched!  Mirrors are notoriously hard to photography, but I did my best!

Another Wedding Frame

I finished my last picture frame order tonight.  Whew!  This one is for the same customer; clearly she's got a lot of weddings on her calendar this year summer!

I used Make the Cut and the font is called Albermarle Swash.  I found it on one of the free sites and it has quickly become one of my favorites.  The flourishes are again from the Flourish I set from My Vinyl Designer.  I have certainly gotten my money's worth out of those.

If Music Be The Food Of Love - Wedding Gift

Hola everyone!  Today I have a wedding gift to share with you.  The bride and groom are set to exchange vows this Saturday.  Whew!  I finished it just in time.  "If music be the food of love, play on . . ." is a quote from Shakespeare.  I am always looking for something new and a bit different for my frames and I thought this one suited a wedding quite well.  I used Make The Cut to cut everything out.  The font is Scriptina - shout out to Nicole for turning me onto it - and the flourish is from the Flourish I collection by My Vinyl Designer.  I love that place.  I hope the newlyweds enjoy their gift!

Last but not least, this is Lola.  She is my almost eight month old Boxer who insisted on pawing the door repeatedly while I tried to take these pictures.  Clearly she wanted some air time as well so here she is!

Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!!

A Wedding Gift

Brandy and I picked these vases up at IKEA.  I thought it would be fun to etch a design on them and Brandy has a wedding to go to in a few weeks.  Perfect - it's going to be a wedding gift!  Guess what though?  They aren't glass!  Or at least not 100% glass.  Although they look, feel, and sound like glass. Grrrrr.  I guess I should have thrown one on the floor to see if it shattered first!  I of course didn't discover this until I was rinsing off the etching creme.  There was a faint outline where the design should have been.  Vexed!!  But I am one to never let a good design go to waste so I decided to just use black vinyl.  I think it still turned out pretty well.

I added some paper so that the design would stand out more.  It's also difficult to photograph because the designs wrap around the vases.

This is the couple's last name.

As always - thanks for stopping by!
