Field Day

This is my second attempt at scrapping these photos.  The first time was about five months ago and I just wasn't feeling it so I put the unfinished layout in my "to work on at some unknown point in the future which probably means never pile".  I'm glad I didn't go back to the old one.  I just started over.  As I mentioned in my previous post, I am really enjoying using these photo templates, or collages on my traditional pages.  They have made Project Life so much more interesting for me this year and last week I decided to snoop around the net for some new templates for PL and came across Kerri Bradford's site.  I ended up getting a few for PL, but many more for just general scrapbooking.  She has some great configurations on her site.  This particular collage comes from the Storyboard #8 set.  Kerri's been making these for a long time but for some reason I am just late to the party.  Oh well, I still like them!   

 

If you haven't worked with photo templates before, they are super duper easy to use.  I use mine in conjunction with Photoshop Elements, and it literally took me less than 10 minutes to drop these photos into the template and print the collage. 

Again, sorry about the photos.  I shot these at the same time I took the ones for the last page.  Wasn't gonna redo them!  So look for a much better photo experience next time.

This Is Ten

I am the mother of a ten year old.  It's surreal just typing that. Where has the time gone?  My baby, or not so much a baby anymore, turned ten not long ago and I made this page to commemorate the occasion.  His grin can't get any bigger can it?

I have been drawn to photo collages more and more with my scrapbook pages.  I love the ability of having a multi-photo page without having to work around separate photos.  I've been using them in Project Life all throughout this year but the light bulb just went off for using them on my traditional pages.  Weird huh?

I have to apologize about the pictures.  I tried a new setup with less than optimal results.  I've been trying to do anything other than pull out that photo tent and set up the lamps because it's is such a pain.  But really, they look the best so I'll have to do that next time despite my trepidation.

A Bevy of Thank You Cards

I found myself in a Thank You Card drought a few weeks ago.  Normally Brandy raids my card drawer but leaves me at least one Thank You card.  Not this time.  So in an effort to anticipate her future greediness claim and still leave myself with a few I made a bunch of them.  Ten to be exact.  And I played with sequins which was fun.  Painstakingly slow, but still fun.

Halloween Goodness Post Halloween

I meant to get these posted on the big day.  And then I forgot my memory card so I couldn't download the pictures.  Such is life.  So here they are today.  Post Halloween, looking no less cute if I may say so myself.  These are treat bags my girlfriend Brandy and I made for her kids Halloween party.  My kids are getting a little older and don't really appreciate this stuff anymore so it's nice to have little ones to who still like to see the pretty stuff!

 

As I did with my last Halloween project I went digging in my big Halloween supply bucket.  Everything you see here is from my stash! Including the bags.  I love it when that happens . . .

I have a friend recovering from breast cancer.  I recently made a meal for her family and I made this card to go along with everything.  The die is from Paper Smooches.  It coordinates with their "Hope" stamp set that I used as well.  The paper is from a MME 6 x 6 stack and one of DCWV's 6 x 6 glitter stack.

A Quickie Card

I could have sworn I scheduled a few more posts weeks ago.  Alas, I just don't remember things like I used to.  Sorry about that, I do have something to share with you today.  Here is  quick card I made some time ago but just haven't gotten around to posting.  It's another card using shapes I purchased in the Silhouette store.

New Zealand

This is another page I made featuring my niece and her trip to New Zealand this past summer.  I just love this picture of her jumping in the air.

The paper is a mixture of Crate Paper's Vellum collection, along with some epherma from Amy Tan.  And of course wood veneers from Freckled Fawn and enamel dots from MME.

Summer Vacation

Another summer archive scrapbook page coming out today.  I love these pictures.  When we're on the island on vacation we seem to be on our bikes all day.  And I love this particular street, where the trees appear to have grown across creating this beautiful canopy.  Breathtaking.  

The paper is from DCWV's new stack >>>>>>>>.  There are embellishments from Studio Calico and Amy Tan on the page and my newest love - sequins.  Uh oh, they might become ubiquitious . . .

Today is Your Birthday

Going back into the summertime archives for this one.  I think I was in the mood for something quick.  I saw this shape being featured on the Silhouette blog and thought it would be great for a birthday card.  A little less than an hour later I was done. 

The paper from My Mind's Eye's Chalkboard Studio line, embellishments by My Mind's Eye and Freckled Fawn along with a Cuttlebug embossing folder and lastly a stamp from Papertrey Ink.

XoXo Happy Birthday Card

My sister texts me and says, "Do you have time to make a birthday card tonight?"  I say, "sure."  So she comes over and I immediately send her to my Pinterest card board so she can find something she likes.  Why Pinterest?  It's where I go when I have low mojo, I'm bored, or if my sister calls me two hours before she arrives demanding I ooze creativity. This is what we came up with, or rather, scraplifted from this lovely lady's blog.  As you can see it's pretty much a complete scraplift, but hey, that's what happens when I don't have time to think about a design ahead of time.  It's still cute anyway, I mean there was a reason I pinned it to my Pinterest board.

The paper is basic bazzill cardstock, and the background of the card is from DCWV's Art of Type.  What do those little words say?  Believe it or not it's the Declaration of Independence.  My sister and I have a bet as to whether her boyfriend will notice.  There is a little bit of Echo Park's Here and Now (those gorgeous yellow lips), a Papertrey Ink stamp, a Cuttlebug embossing folder and it's done.  Thank you Pinterest.  Thank you Silhouette!
