My scrapbooking trend continues! My best friend has the most adorable twins ever. Yes, I said it. But she also has the sweetest little baby and up until now I haven't had a decent picture of him solo to work it. That all changed last week when I finally caught the little stinker smiling at me. Yes! I couldn't wait to scrapbook these pictures. Brandy has been bemoaning how the baby doesn't have his own scrapbook page for weeks, or actually months now. Oh, the horror!
Well no more, I have finally added him to my list of "been there, done that." And I did it quite well, if I may so myself. Have you ever have one of those scrapping experiences where the page turned out just as you imagined it would? I am in love with this page. I started with the three airplane images from the Silhouette store that I downloaded not long ago, knowing that I was going to use them for something. And of course, now that I've used a filmstrip I had to do that again. Besides, filmstrips make it easier to choose pictures - you can use more than just one or two! Or even three or four!
I had the best time making this page. I was totally in that zone. You know the one - I call it the Scrapper's High. This page is exactly what I wanted it to be and Brandy is overjoyed. Without further adieu, this is Nico's About a Boy.
The paper is from DCWV's new stacks Sweet Tangerine and Sky's the Limit. The wood veneer and sequin embellishments are from Studio Calico. I hope you love this page as much as I do. I kissed it goodbye and let Brandy take it home this evening (Monday!).
Thanks so much for stopping by!

WOW! I love this page! Time for me to try out a filmstrip or two! Might have to scraplift if that's okay!

Nicoli finally got his own page!! This is wonderful and the airplane images are perfect. It is so nice to see him smiling in pictures. He is always so hard to photograph. I love you and thank you for taking the time to scrap our memories!!
ReplyDeleteWow! I love the use of filmstrips for the smaller pictures. The vellum airplanes were a cool touch and so were the sequins - who knew they could work for boys too?! Thanks for the inspiration - I think I have a box of sequins somewhere ;).
ReplyDeleteI love this layout. Thanks for sharing it!
ReplyDeleteWow! I love all of your detail work.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you captured that smile. He is a very handsome little boy who should smile all the time! Great page!!! So many fun details and I love the photo strip!
