In lieu of making my sister a birthday card, she and I created her very own birthday sash. Why? Because she waits tables and gets to wear it on her next shift (on her birthday). It's about the tips people! This was really fun to make. I don't think I've ever used so many glue sticks on one project. The ribbon you see is actually running on both sides of the sash (it wasn't wide enough). And the entire thing is actually adhered onto a long fabric strip because she's going to be working a double shift on her birthday and I wanted it to be durable and more comfortable than it would be if it was solely made out of paper. I used some outdoor and indoor vinyl for the lettering - it will stick better to the sash and was much quicker to cut out. The flowers are from my stash and the owls and leaves are from the Silhouette store. I think she looks incredible and she is very happy with it. Mission accomplished!
