Santa Sacks

Hola!  I hope everyone is doing well.  I've been absent for a while, but not because I haven't been crafting.  In fact it feels like that all I've been doing over the past month or so.  I wanted to share one of my newer projects - Santa Sacks!  Someone in one of the many Facebook Silhouette groups posted these a while back and I was instantly captivated.

A girlfriend and I set out to make a bunch for our kids and relatives.  For some reason we just can't do anything half measure.  It can't be one - it has to be twelve.  At least that was what I was up at at last count. Warning - this is going to be a very heavy picture blog post.

Go Broncos!

I was raised in Colorado, and like any good current or past Colorado resident I will be Denver Broncos fan for life.  It has been a while since I purchased any new Bronco gear and with this week's AFC Championship game upon us I wanted a new shirt to represent my team.  I am going to be surrounded by unsufferable Patriots fans on Sunday.  The horror!  So, in my quest to find a new shirt, and my annoyance at the ridiculous prices a light bulb went off in my head - just make your own silly.  So that's what I did.  With a $15 hoodie from Old Navy, a bit of flocked and glitter heat transfer vinyl and Walla!

I love the way it turned out.  Seriously it took me less than an hour from start to finish for this project.  And now I have my husband clamoring for an Atlanta Falcons shirt.  I wonder if he wants me to add the bling?

Friduss Four Life

I recently made some pillows!  Okay, not exactly.  I recently cut out some heat transfer vinyl and applied it to pillows!  That's more accurate.  And I love, love, love them.  I actually have three more that I will share on another day.

"Live Each Moment" and the "Family" saying on the last pillow are files that I purchased from the Silhouette store.  I designed the Friduss Four Life myself.  Super duper easy and I love when it's easy AND the final product turns out great.

Holiday Gifts - Heat Transfer Vinyl to the Rescue

It's time for some vinyl!  It's been a while and in an attempt to switch gears and do something new. I pulled out some felt bags that I received as a gift from a good crafty friend of mine a while back and then Brandy came over.  The holidays are upon us and she has office gifts to give out.  So, we decided to personalize these bags for some of her employees.  I have had this heat transfer sitting around for ages.  And I used it!

I love projects that use my supplies and nothing else!  I had to take a few minutes to watch a video because it really has been that long since I've worked with heat transfer.  And it was a little rough going there for a few moments, I won't lie.  But overall I really like the results.

And there was one over the shoulder bag.  Hard to photograph, but here's my best effort.

Dust Devils Move It Move It!

A good friend of mine has a daughter who plays softball.  Every year they have a contest for the best team banner and the prize is nothing to sneeze at - it's a sizable amount of money for the team's end of the season party.  My friend is fairly crafty and incredibly competitive so she jumped into this one with both feet.  I helped a bit with the design and lots of the cutting and there you have it.  This is the banner and it's great if I do say so myself.  In case you're wondering - yes, it won!

We used DCWV's Tie Dye 2 paper, laminated it, and set them on action wobbles so not only is the banner really cute - it's interactive!

This was totally outside of my wheelhouse and because of that a lot of fun.  I am sure the girls are going to enjoy the year end party like never before!

Sabriolet Designs Felt Pouch

My friend Kymberlee had the most amazing gifts for my friends and I this past weekend.  Each of us received these really cute felt bags and pouches that you can use for just about anything.  I immediately thought it would be a great thing to personalize it and since I have some new heat transfer vinyl I decided to give it a go.  I absolutely adore flourishes and I have been collecting them in the Silhouette store ever since I bought my Cameo months ago. Combine that with some more flocked vinyl and this turned out really, really well.  I think I'm going to keep my receipts and such in it for my crafting purchases.

Brand New!

I have a really quick project to share with you today.  I recently ordered some Heat Transfer Vinyl (HTV) from the Silhouette store.  I've worked with vinyl before but never like this and I decided to give it a try.  There's no massive amount of creativity here, I just wanted to see how easy it was to work with this stuff, and man, it is beyond easy.  This is a little onesie that I made for little Nico.

This vinyl is actually flocked, so it has this really cool velvet type texture to it.  I used the recommended settings for flocked htv on my Cameo and it worked perfectly.  So guess what I did right afterward - yep, ordered more.  I have ideas, ideas, ideas!
