Halloween Night 2012

Every year, not long terribly before Halloween I get into the Halloween mood by scrapping last year's Halloween pictures.  Why should 2013 be any different?  This is a Halloween layout featuring pictures of the cutest boys ever from last Halloween's adventures.  My youngest son decided he was going to be a hot dog.  Yep.  And my oldest son was knee deep in a Mario Bros. phase at the time.  Thankfully we've moved on but I shudder to think what this year is going to look like.  That said, I was a bit low on mojo but wanting to scrapbook anyway so I  went searching my Pinterest boards for inspiration, and ultimately decided on a scraplift because I loved the original page so much.  I adore the wonderful Laura Vegas and this is a scraplift of a page of hers that you can find here.  Thank you Laura for that much needed inspiration!

Like many of you, or maybe not so many of you, I have a big bucket storage container full of Halloween crafty goodness.  I decided last year that I would NOT allow myself to purchase any new Halloween paper or embellishments because it was  getting slightly out of control.  With that said, I pulled out the bucket storage container and found some things that I think work quite well together.  This is a mixture  paper from  My Mind's Eye Mischevious, along with Stampin' Up Halloween paper, and a bit of DCWV cardstock.  A bit of washi, some brads and twine, and sparklies and I was set!

Thanks for stopping by!

  3. This has to be one of my favorite Halloween layouts! I love the giant spider web. Now I detest real spiders, but I have to say I think I like the blingy kind!

  5. I love the use of the spider web in the background and your choice of patterns. It's so hard to resist purchasing more Halloween paper every year eventhough I too have a big collection from years past :(.
