Good Books Are A Boy's Best Friend

Again, long time no post.  I have been in a scrapbooking mood lately and these take time.  Lately I've started a page and then gotten stuck, and then put that page way, and started another page and got stuck, etc.  Lather, Rinse, Repeat.  Plus, this arrived yesterday!

WooHoo!  Yes, you are looking at a new Silhouette Cameo.  I caved and bought this machine this week after I decided to part ways with my Imagine.  I spent some time playing with the Silhouette Studio software last night and I added a few print and cut items to my latest scrapbook page. I started this ones weeks ago and put it away because I couldn't get the bookworm cut out the way I wanted to with MTC and my Cricut.  Luckily, my good friend Pam from The Bugbytes was sweet enough to convert the SVG into a studio file so I could work with it using my new Silhouette.  This was my first print and cut job and I love it!

And here is the second one for my Mom:

Recipe:
Paper:  Echo Park - On The Record; My Mind's Eye - Lost & Found
Cricut Cartidges:  Paper Lace (good), Graphically Speaking (books & flourish); Cindy Lou (flourish)
Silhouette:  Bookworm Print N Cut, Journaling Tag, Print N Cut
Spellbinders:  Circles
Miscellaneous:  Buttons:  Stash, & Jellybean Soup, Epoxy Stickers - Heidi Grace

Thanks for stopping by!

  2. I love it, and I am so in love with the cardboard looking buttons on the second one. Are they really cardboard or buttons?

  3. They are buttons made out of corrugated cardboard Lol. I'm sure that helped. These came from a die-cut pack of shapes made by JillyBean Soup. Let me see if I can find a link. - Here they are - http://www.denverfabrics.com/p/NMC476502/Corrugated-Shapes-Frames

  5. I was one of those who bought the Imagine at launch, and although (knock on wood) I have not had to send it back, I have been less than thrilled with it as I thought I would be. Needless to say, it sits on my desk collecting dust or serves as a place for me to take pics of my projects (cards) I've made with my E2. I'm very intrigued with this Cameo though.....off to research it. I'd be stalking your blog to learn more too ;)
