Batty for You Featuring DCWV's Bewitched - Oh, and Mojo Monday # 256

Today is my first day back in my craft room after quite some time away. I think I was still high on cold medicine the last time I posted.   There is good news - I am truly on the road to recovery.  Yesterday, for the first day in days, I really felt better.  So, today I decided to see if I could rock out a card or two. Truthfully, it was difficult.  My mojo is not quite up to par.  But I'm working through it.  I have two cards for you this evening.  The first is a 6 x6 square card and the second is a circle card that I decided to design using this week's Mojo Monday sketch.  I haven't played at Mojo in a while so why not?  Here you go:

This is the sketch for this week's Mojo Monday challenge.

And this is my card:

Yes, I know I went a little bat crazy here.  I don't what is is, I just can't help it and I know better than to try.  Let's just roll with it!  All the paper is from DCWV's Betwitched stack, Matstack, and Cardstock stack.  Fabulous glitter paper in there for those who are looking for good quality sparklies.

Accordion Mini Book Featuring Autumn Melody

Hey good peeps!  I am slowly making my way back to the land of the living.  I am no where near 100% yet, but I've spent more time vertical today than I have in the last five days so that's saying something.  This morning I finished up a project I started a while back.  Earlier this summer my husband's aunt came to GA to  visit and we went up to his sister's house to harvest the corn the boys and I planted this spring.  It was an absolutely gorgeous day.  Hot, and a bit windy, but we enjoyed ourselves nonetheless.  My husband's aunt only gets to visit once every few years so I thought I would make her this little mini album to commemorate the day.

The album itself is actually pretty tiny - it measures 3 1/2 x 3 1/2.  So it's something quick and easy she can put in her purse to pull out and show friends.  The photos are instagrams that I sized down in Photoshop elements.  All of the die cuts are Silhouette, and the paper is DCWV's new stack, Autumn Melody.

The Cameo Spotlight No. 2 ~ Numbers

Good morning everyone!  This is going to be a quick post because I am sick!  Back to school means back to school germs and I have my youngest son to thank for what has been the worst summer cold I have had in, well, a really long time.  So, as you can imagine, I haven't been terribly crafty this week.  My lone craft time was spent getting this card ready for today's Cameo Spotlight challenge, and I so happy I got this done in time.  This week's theme is really a lot of fun.  I tossed this idea around and around for quite some time and overall I'm quite pleased.  I just though it would be fun to make a card featuring a bunch of the songs that I loved as a kid that had numbers in their titles.

Make sure you stop by The Cameo Spotlight to see what else our Design Team has created for you and hey - play along this week.  The possibilities for this week's theme are endless!

Hello There Cards

Hello there!  I stopped by my local Archiver's on Friday and found a few things I couldn't live without.  I am sucker for a pretty flower, and this burlap one by Maya Road really caught my eye.  I really designed the cards around it, figured out that the smaller ones were *too small* I ended up making a 6 x 6 square one just so I could use that flower.  Silly, I know, but I was determined to get it on a card.  Overall I like these.  There's nothing special about them, I just think they are pretty and again they can be used for a host of different occasions.

Recipe:
Paper:  Echo Park's Victoria and Life is Good collections, JoAnn's Kraft paper, Stampin' Up bright white

You Evil Pharmacist! ~ Featuring DCWV's Bewitched

What's this?  Another Halloween page?  Yep, I was in the groove last week and got two of these babies done.  This one also features the DCWV Bewitched Stack.  Can't get enough of it.  My husband decided to be an evil pharmacist for Halloween last year.  Those of you Phineas and Ferb aficionados know who we are talking about!

Project Life Weeks Twenty-Eight through Thirty-One

In my effort to get myself somewhat caught up after our long holiday this summer, I combined the next three weeks into one week. The first spread covers Weeks 28-30 and for Week 31 I went back to the regular one week per spread format.  I did include a few inserts in the first few weeks though, covering my son's trip to drama camp and as well as some of Becky's new Instagram photo sized plastics.  I love these and I'm sure I'm going to be using them a lot.  Warning - a ton of photos ahead!

I am linking up at The Mom Creative this week.  There are a lot of fantastic layouts featured there.

Good Thoughts Note Card Set

I spent part of Sunday working on another note card set.  This one was inspired by a few cards I saw on Pinterest, which is totally addictive.  I could spend hours and hours there.  The posts that inspired this card set are here and here.  Again, creating for the sake of creating feels wonderful.  And these cards can be used for just about anything.

Trick or Treat featuring DCWV's Bewitched!

Can you believe Halloween is a little over two months away?  I love Halloween, it's a paper crafter's dream.  DCWV's Halloween stacks are always a must have and I am thrilled to show you a project featuring their new Halloween stack Bewitched.  These are pictures of my son from last Halloween  that I never got around to scrapping.  Which was a good thing because now that I am an Instagram junkie I was able to add a fun little filter for effect that I would not have otherwise bothered with.  My son was going through his second Star Wars phase last fall and he begged to be Darth Maul for Halloween  He initially asked if we would paint his face and I nixed that idea pretty quickly, too much trouble!  We went with the mask instead!

Don't you love those trick-or-treaters?  I do, in fact, this was the reason I purchased this Cricut cartridge - Autumn Celebrations last fall.  It was bound to end up on a page at some point.  It's been so long since I've used my Cricut E2 I loaded the paper incorrectly twice before I remembered it was different than my Silhouette. Moving right along! The rest of the die cuts were made using my Cameo, and some of the other  embellishments are also from DCWV.  I am thrilled that Erin from DCWV was so kind to send those to me to use, I never see them in our local stores.  So there you have it.  One Halloween page down, several more to go given the number of pictures I have to get through!
