DCWV & Therm O Web Summer Lovin' Blog Hop

Welcome to the DCWV/Therm O Web Summer Lovin' Blog Hop. The designers have combined paper from DCWV's Sunday Afternoon and/or Everlasting Love stacks, together with a variety of adhesives, mists, and other fantastic products from Therm O Web.  And keep reading, because there are prizes involved!

If you have come here from Rebecca at My Cluttered Corner, then you are on track!  If not, you should go back to the DCWV blog and start today's leg of the hop from there.

So what did I come up with? Hmmm.  My mother lives in a different state, and because of her work schedule she does not get to visit often.  Several years ago when I got back into crafting one of my first projects was an 8 x 8 scrapbook of my boys for her.  It was so basic that when I look back it now it makes me laugh and smile.  I have certainly come a long way since then.  Time is not what it used to be and I don't have time to put together those massive books for her like I used to, but I do like her to have something to have with her grandkids as the focus.  So, with all that said, I have a cute little mini-album to share with you today.  I decided to use the Everlasting Love stack, which is a really gorgeous black and white stack with hints of champagne throughout.  A bit out of my comfort zone since I really do love working with color so much.  I added hints of green here and there, and went with black and white photos as well.

Here are photos of a few of the inside pages.

And finally, the minibook and it's cover.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today.  Be sure to visit all of the blogs on the Hop, and leave comments for your chance to win. Two lucky readers will win a set of 3 stacks from DCWV, and an additional reader will receive an amazing gift pack from Therm O Web!  The more you comment, the more chances you have to win!  Now head over to Jennifer's blog, Stitch Cut Create, to see what awesomeness she has in store for you.

  45. You made a great choice to add the pops of green... to DCWV's Everlasting Love stack. I wouldn't have thought to add green to the black/white and champagne. (I like working w/colors, too!) But those colors really work well together. And of course the idea to use b/w photos really "added the icing on the cake."
    Thanks for the inspiration.
