Circle Blog Weekly Challenge & Colour Create Challenge # 79

This week over at the Cricut Circle blog the challenge is to come up with a card using this sketch created by Jana Eubank.  Bonus if you include some bling or glitter, and let's be honest, bling is not hard for me. I decided to combine this with another challenge - this is my first time playing at the Colour Create Challenge blog. Challenge No. 79 is to create a project using the colors brown, pink, cream, and if possible, use a little lace.

The papers you see are all from one of my favorite lines, My Mind's Eye Stella & Rose.  I have created several projects with these in the past and I am finally getting down to my last few sheets.  I am going to be very sad with then are all gone!  I did something I've never done before - used distressing on a project.  I crinkled the script paper, inked it with Tim Holtz Tea Distress Ink, and also went over it my new Imaginesence Distress tool.  I picked this up from Archiver's a few weeks ago.  It really does give paper that great distressed/worn look very easily.

The top of the flowers are from flower shoppe, the bottoms are actually from Mother's Day Bouquet and I inked them with Stampin' Up's Poppy Parade.  The butterfuly is from Sophie, and as always, I used as much dimension as possible on the entire card.   The ribbons are new for me, I picked them up at Hobby Lobby not long ago and they really turned into the perfect accent for this card.  The sentiment is from Verve stamps and it was stamped in Stampin' Up's Chocolate Chip.  I cut it out with a Spellbinders Labels three die, and again used my distress tool to tie it into the entire card.  This card has a lot going on, but I really do love the finished look.

Recipe:
Paper:  My Mind's Eye Stella & Rose
Cartridges:  Sophie, Mother's Day Bouquet, Flower Shoppe
Spellbinders:  Labels Three
Tolls:  Imaginesence Distress Tool
Bling:  Imaginesence (on the butterfly) and my stash
Ribbon:  Hobby Lobby

Thanks for stopping by!
