Well, my kids are both now in school full time. We have a playroom for them but decided to transform it into a study area/playroom. It's been a work in progress, but I finally have enough things to show you guys. I generated this Word Cloud using the Tagxedo website I posted about a while ago. I really do love this site! I saved my image as JPEG, traced it into Make The Cut and then cut it out several times using four different colors of vinyl. Yes, this took a long time, but the results were more than worth it. I pieced the different colors together to attempt to get it to resemble, as closely as possible, the original cloud I generated.
Here is the final product:
The parentheticals were printed and cut by my Imagine using the Blast Off Cartridge. I haven't used my Imagine much since I purchased it this past spring because the design capabilities are severely limited. The software that is supposed to fix all of this has been in Beta, well, forever. I wanted an Imagine specifically for printing and cutting vinyl, and while I was able to get by using the Imagine App on the gypsy I don't see this as a long term solution. I really hope that this Cricut Craftroom comes on line sooner rather than later, otherwise I am going to have to look elsewhere for my printing and cutting capabilities. That said, I am fairly pleased with the way this project turned out. The arrow you see are on the My Community and the Accent Essentials cartridge. Everything else, including my boys names are from Blast Off.
I am not completely done with this project. I still have to label all of the drawers, but before that I have to actually have to transfer everything into them. Small details and everything. I am fairly happy with the way this one turned out and I know the boys are happy to finally have a workable space to do their homework.
Thanks for stopping by!
Omgosh...I am SO in love with this project! It's so creative, i would lovee to do something similar to this
