Project Life Weeks Twenty Six and Twenty Seven

Long time no Project Life post.  I assure you this project is still going strong, I just ran into a few snags.  During the first week of July my family and I were on a Carribbean Cruise and I've been a little stumped as how to handle this when it comes to PL.  I took well over 1000 photographs and I have a desire to use more than just seven or eight of them for the week.  I've come up with a plan, but unfortunately it's going to take me a while to work through.  In the meantime, I finished up the two weeks prior to that and I'm about 95% done with the last three weeks of July as well, I just need to print some photos.  So as you can see, I've got a lot of PL stuff going on.  Right now, for your viewing pleasure, are weeks Twenty-Six and Twenty-Seven. Twenty-seven was a light picture week for me so I made a *filler* card and also a 4 x 6 journaling card.  I actually had this big thing worked out for my journaling card and then promptly forgot it as I waited too long to come back and actually write down said journaling.  Another lesson eh?

Week Twenty-Six

Week Twenty-Seven

These are the inserts I used to cover my son's 7th Birthday party.  I love the new page protectors from Becky Higgins.  This is a horizontal 8 x 10.  I blew up the picture with him blowing out his candle, and on the back, played around in PS Elements to create this little summer scene with my journaling about the party.

Go Wesley!

I am probably going to link up with Jessica's Project Life Tuesday this week.  You can check her out here at The Mom Creative.   I seriously doubt I am going to be done documenting our cruise for some time (I have one island done, and three more to go plus all of the journaling!) but I will be finished with the remainder of July sometime very soon, and I guess the first week of August too right?  Time just keeps flying by.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. Oh my I adore your pages!! They make me want to try PL but I have so many albums that I need to get done prior to taking on a new task.

In one of the pictures is that a kid sleeping on the table? If so, that is priceless!! I have pictures of my daughter and husband sleeping on stairs!! It just proves that when you are tired enough, you will sleep anywhere!!

Thanks for sharing your work is amazing!

    1. Jackie it was the craziest thing - it literally bent the metal at a 90 degree angle. We've had storms before but nothing like this is such a short period of time.

  3. Two more fabulous weeks!! All of the pictures are just gorgeous!! I used to love the slip and slide and you are right...they've come a long way!! When I was young, it was basically a yellow tarp. My sister and I threw ourselves down it so much on the hard ground, we were bruised!! But, ah, good times :) Have a great week my friend :)

  4. Lisa, we used to do the same things as kids! I always remember being bruised and sore the next day after we played on the slip and slide. It was so much fun. Good times and good memories!
