It's been an interesting week around here. I have been diligently working on my Mother's Day scrapbook and I have made good progress over the last several days. Only two more pages to go, and the first of those is about a third complete already! WooHoo! How did I do it? Well I have pretty much lived in this room for the past week. But it's been worth it because I created with I believe is my best layout ever. It's so gorgeous I can't stop looking at it. I've walked by it several times a day since I finished it and it instantly brings a smile to my face. The photos are from a trip to the Tennessee Aquarium where my oldest son had the wonderful experience of holding a butterfly in his hand for the first time. Absolutely precious. And without further ado - here it is!
One of my favorite new apps is the Sketches 2 Scrap app for the IPhone. I can't remember where I heard about it, but I adore this app. Great sketches, wonderful designs that aren't hard to follow or overly embellished. I can't remember which sketch it was on, but I saw one of these ribbon flowers and immediately fell in love. I knew I could make one myself and I was right - it is so simple! Of course now that I'm in love there will be many more of these in projects to come.
Thanks for stopping by!!

That's a stunning layout! I love the inclusion of the tickets. TFS!
ReplyDeleteWow, I love the details like the pink butterfly outline border on the photos. I really think your eye for detail would showcase Oliver's finer qualities ;-). I just wish I could hear about Jake holding a butterfly for the first time instead of Kirby. Oh well, atleast your scrapbook shows the truly great moments the boys have.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Joyce you crack me up!
