My oldest son Jakob turned seven last fall. His birthday falls around Halloween and because I was having a creative block, I decided to go the easy route and just make Halloween themed invitations for him. I used a fold out card I initially saw on CardsTV as a jumping off point, and this is what I came up with.
Truth be told, these were fairly intricate. I had several months to work on them, and I was very happy with the way they turned out. I used pattern papers from DCVW Halloween stacks. I like the effect of changing up the papers, and colors of the embellishments so that no two invitations look alike.
I live my life in widening circles that reach out across the world.

Welcome to Sabriolet Designs. Who am I? A mid-western girl now living in the South. I wear a multitude of hats on any given day including: domestic goddess, wife, attorney, child advocate, mom, paper crafter extraordinaire, bookworm, and perennial Buffy The Vampire Slayer fan. A few years ago I began paper crafting and it has flourished into a full-fledged obsession. I simply love paper. Paper crafting has become a way for me to express myself, to see something through from beginning to end. There is a little piece of me in everything I create. And with that, I hope you enjoy what you see here.
All work on my blog is original unless stated otherwise. I strive to give credit where credit is due and I believe strongly in the do under others as you would have them do unto you principle. Karma people!! I hope my work inspires you, as I am inspired by others daily. With that said, please do not claim my work as your own or submit it for publication, contests, or challenges. Feel free to scraplift for your own personal enjoyment and link back to the original post. THANKS!!
