Thank You for the Gift!!

About a month ago I met a fun girl at a support group dinner.  We started  talking about hobbies and I was telling her about my love of crafting.  She asked me if I had ever heard of Spellbinders - What?  Who hasn't heard of Spellbinders?!!  I love their products and have been using them for well over a year now.  Well guess what - turns out her brother and sister-in-law invented them!  Wow!!

So to make a long story short, she connected me with her sister-in-law and let me tell you guys she is just one of the sweetest people I have ever met.  I contacted her about a new die-cut embossing machine I was considering purchasing - Spellbinders Grand Calibur - and she offered to send me an accessory to make it work with some of my other supplies.  Less than a week later, not only did I have that embossing mat, but six new die-sets!  None of which I have (and I have quite a few).  I am absolutely blown away by her generosity.  I was so happy just to have a contact at one of the most wonderful crafting companies in the world, I truly never expected to receive anything.  So, in honor of Stacey Caron I had to make a thank you card!  Here it is:

It's a 5 1/2 square card that features quite a few things.   First, and most importantly, I used the pendant from the Fair Isle Spellbinders pendant set that Stacey sent me.  What better time to put one of these new sets to use!  I cut it twice and pasted one on top of the other with pop dots to give it some dimension and I think the effect is wonderful.   I topped it with red and white paper flowers connected with a silver brad.  The pendant is sitting on top of a square scallop that I embossed with the Swiss Dots folder.  By the way, I used my new Grand Calibur die cutting and embossing machine and it worked great!!  I love this machine.  The card mat is stamped with a flourish from Stampin' Up's Elements of Style set.  I used black craft ink and embossed it with black embossing powder.  I love the result.  I will doing this again I am sure.  The sentiment die cut is another spellbinders die, and the "Thank You"  is from Stampin' Up's Just Believe set.  I think this turned out lovely.  I sure hope Stacey likes it!

Can I tell you how much I love this machine?!  It's definitely my go-to from here on out!
